Jujutsu: The Gentle Art: Developed in feudal Japan, this martial art was designed to defeat an opponent utilizing holds, strikes, joint locking and strangling techniques by first yielding to an opponents attack.

Judo: The Gentle Way: Founded in 1882 by renowned Jujutsu master and educator Dr.Jigoro Kano. Dr. Kano took the best techniques that did not rely on brute strength to work. Dr. Kano took away techniques too dangerous to practice with a resisting opponent and put them in katas for advanced students to learn.
Today Judo is the second most popular sport in the word behind soccer. The American College Of Sports Medicine reports Judo as the safest contact sport for children in the U.S.A.

L.I. Bujutsu students are trained in these styles as well as weapons and weapons defense to be capable of defending themselves or to compete in tournaments if they choose.

Bob Geick started his martial arts training in1974 in Isshin-Ryu karate, achieving Brown Belt level. A passionate athlete Bob studied freestyle wrestling and boxing and the following:

Student of Sensei Billy Martin, Godan (5th degree black belt) Judo at Circle of One M.A.
Certified instructor Shiro Bushi Ryu Bujutsu
       -Awarded Sandan (3rd Degree Black Belt) Shiro Bushi Ryu Bujutsu
       -Student of Sensei J. Harry Ayala, Rokudan (6th DegreeBlack Belt)
        Jujutsu, Nidan Judo
Student of Sensei Walter Ing, Rokudan (6th Degree Belt) Judo
Awarded the rank of Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt) Judo by Sensei Clifford Wolff, Yodan, Judo, and Author of "Shibumi is the Way To Go!"
