"Boxing is NOT a sport ANYONE should do professionally. But it is a sport EVERYONE can and should do RECREATIONALLY!" (Here's Why)
Coach Ray Bettinelli

Click HereBCBA was established in 2004. It is a recognized 501(C)(3) ALL VOLUNTEER nonprofit charity organization (Community Boxing Center Inc.) devoted to doing positive work in the community in which it operates.

Though they have been challenged by strict zoning boards and a few intolerant neighbors, BCBA has stayed true to its convictions and beliefs.

With NO government support or financial assistance BCBA converted a vacant warehouse into a safe, clean and secure facility where young people can come and learn the importance of becoming self reliant while building positive self esteem and staying lean/fighting fit.

Trying to gain support from local "leaders" has been a battle for BCBA, nonetheless it is committed to working in partnership with the community in a courteous and respectful manner and in harmony with the lives, property and quality of life of others.

BCBA is a private center / youth gym (for those UNDER 18). Its goal is simple, BCBA is not trying to build better fighters, it is looking to build better young people through the great sport of Olympic Style Amateur Boxing. Head Coach and Director Ray Bettinelli firmly believes that the same skills needed to succeed in the ring, are those needed to succeed in life. Their Boxing, Martial Arts and Self Defense programs are ALL intended to add structure, discipline and positive self-esteem so all who participate in them are prepared to go on and become Champions in Life!

The center has a supervised computer area on the premises to provide students with a place to study, do their homework or play chess. At BCBA kids are encouraged to hit their books before they hit the bags!

As BCBA grows and its fund raising efforts bare fruit, it plans to offer its D.R.I.F.T. Program Graduates after school tutoring including Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED) assistance.

As part of our commitment to serving the community, BCBA makes its space available to fellow community leaders and their outreach programs provided their programs are designed to educate, motivate or inspire.

If you would like to learn more about utilizing our facility for your program please contact us.

"Being a man or a woman is a matter of birth. Being a man or a woman who makes a difference is a matter of choice."

Our mission at BCBA is simple; serve our community with a facility that is safe, clean and provides a positive environment where young people can come and feel a sense of belonging.

Offer well-rounded programs designed to help young people meet the challenges that lie ahead in their lives so they won't feel the need to turn to crime, drugs or gang involvement.

Become known as a full-fledged community center where people can train to stay in shape and benefit from programs designed to educate, motivate and inspire!

Our challenge is to convince local residents, zoning boards, community leaders, business owners and politicians the importance of having a center like BCBA in their community.

Their challenge will be to step up, lend their time and/or financial support so BCBA can grow and continue to do good works in our community.

Our vision for BCBA is that it becomes a beacon, a light that will lead others to see the benefit of having a center like BCBA in their own community. We want BCBA to become a model that will encourage others to help us grow and create additional centers, one community at a time.

"We have no government armed in power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Our Constitution was made only for a religious and moral people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other."
John Adams
